Dear Board,
A couple of weeks ago I posted a couple of stupid pictures of my dog Avalon out in the back yard eating snow. I remarked that I lacked skills, my cameras as well as my dog were inadequate and old, but I posted them anyway.
On Monday February 16th I had to put down the best friend I have ever known. I knew from the minute Avalon and I got up and went downstairs that morning that her time was short. I couldn't be bothered with getting one of my "better" cameras out of the bag to record things so I shot them with a brand new to me Canon SX10IS. Don't let these pictures discourage you from picking up a cheap used one or picking up a rescue dog.
Dad, you and I both know why you are standing there with a camera
Mommy was always nice to me

Sorry Dad but I can't look at you now, I might start to cry, like you

Dad, I'm tired, I'm old, and I'm dying, can you turn the damn flash off?

Way to blow the parting shot by hitting the MF button Dad.

It's only fitting that my pictures don't do Avalon justice because she was better than anyone could imagine a dog to be. Avalon was the kindest sweetest dog that ever walked this Earth. I understand completely that every other dog owner feels the same way about their dog but I'm saying it anyway.
