A few years ago there was a lot of buzz on Kickstarter about a new (and to my mind quite revolutionary) new lens management system called QuickDraw. The setup was simple: there was a belt with a number of metal attachments for lenses that were designed for the Canon EF bayonet mounts (and I think Nikon as well). It was demonstrated in videos as being super fast, and looked like an absolute pleasure to work with. Lenses clicked right into the belt attachments like clicking onto the camera. It made changing lenses quickly look like a breeze.
Whatever happened to it? I can't find any recent (or live) information on ordering it anywhere online. Please tell me this didn't go away forever! How could something so handy and intuitive not catch on? Did a competitor buy them out to make it go away? I'm sure the people who got these through supporting the original Kickstarter campaign feel like photography rock stars now when it comes to showing off and handling their gear. I'd love to purchase one of those originals, although it would probably be hard to get them to part with those beauties for any reasonable sum. Like having a secret stash of working light sabers. Does anyone have any idea if these will ever be for sale?
