It was mounted on a light stand and fell to the concrete ground about 9ft high. The flash tube was shuttered and a piece of the white bracket holding the tube snapped off. Full flash head assembly needs to be replaced. I emailed canon for the spare part and I am still waiting for their reply. For now, I am obliged to purchase another unit asap (600 ex rt maybe).
If in case the spare part is not available, I am thinking of converting my 430 into a bare bulb flash. Will the flash tubes for studio strobes work on a speedlite? Or are there any suggested tubes to make it work on a 430 ex ii system?
Suggestions are mostly welcome.
