Feb 25, 2015 17:50 | #21 Just a thought, I don't want to throw a spanner in the works, but have you considered a used Canon 1D4? Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).

I used to own a 1D4 and have some (limited) experience of the 7D2 and think that you may be doing yourself a disservice if you don't consider the 1D4 as a possible option. As I stated I have limited experience of the 7D2, but from what I have seen and shot it is a very nice camera - however I personally feel that a used 1D4 would be a better option for my uses (mainly Birds). Prices are fairly close and even a heavily used 1D4 has plenty of potential life left in it. Just food for thought? Worth consdiering, but finding a good one might take some time. The 7D MKll can be had new for £1030 with 3 year warranty from HDEW

Though there was one for sale recently with 800,000 clicks - was it run in or run out?!? Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).
