Heading on vacation Saturday (Three days from now) and want another memory card for my EOS-M. It takes an SD card, bt all my tablets and cell phones use Micro SD. How do the Micro SD cards work with the adapters vs the plan SD cards? price is the same for either and I would be buying a 32gb. Just need to figure out which one I want to buy.

IMHO, I'd use the normal SD card. Less things to fail, less things to lose.

Best answer is inconclusive, there have been reports on the forum of people having issues and probably some people are using them successfully. I personally use a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and prefer to transfer my images either with the Samsung adapter that plugs into the power port or a direct connection to my camera using USB, again using the Samsung adapter that plugs into the charging/power port.

Given the the adapter is of good quality and condition, it is just simple metal connections. So uSD inside adapter should function exactly the same as if uSD in uSD slot. If the adapter quality is subpar or in bad condition, it can introduce signal integrity issue. Persoanlly, I have never had issue with adaptor. But I were to buy a new card for camera with SD slot, I will buy SD instead of uSD with adapter

Thanks for the opinions guys. I wound up buying the standard SD card. I didn't want to take the chance of having an extra set of connections fail or have one that might not be 100%. When I got home I pulled out the card wallet for my 5d2 and found that I already had a couple spare SD cards. So I worried about and ordered an extra one for no reason.

Cancel the order. Likely you have a Best Buy in Cleveland and that is a better more reliable source than most online retailers anyway, with the exception of large online dealers like Adorama, B&H, etc.
