We so often hear about the negative experiences people have with this or that, I thought I'd post something positive.

A few months ago, I purchased some additional Sterlingtek batteries to use with my Canon 7D2 and its battery grip. After a few months, one of the batteries would only charge to 70%. I contacted Amazon customer service. They refunded my purchase price and I ordered a replacement.

A day later, I got an email from Sterlingtek notifying me that they were sending me out a replacement battery. I emailed back to let them know Amazon has already taken care of it and they didn't need to do that. I got a return email saying they were sending me another battery anyway. Sure enough, in a couple days, I got an additional battery.

Talk about excellent customer service.

Jon,

Thanks for moving the thread..... I wasn't sure which forum would be appropriate.

Awesome that Sterlingtek stood behind their product and then went the extra mile. You also deserve a little credit for being honest. Good stuff all around!

I hope I didn't come across as patting myself on the back. I admit, the thought that did cross my mind was.... now I'll have an odd number of batteries. Will I have to buy another one so I'll have complete sets for my battery grip?

I'm just a tad anal retentive. It felt odd putting the third battery in my camera bag.

No, you didn't come across that way.

I would just buy another 7d2 and use the spare battery for that one :>;)
