I have no idea why everyone is ignoring this, but I think it's a great night shot. The human figure helps with interest and composition. The exposure and color balance seem to be right on, and the overall composition and interest level are very high. I think you chose your perspective just right with regard to the figure in relation to the horizon and in regard to where the reflection of the sun hits the wet sand.

My only complaint is that the horizon is dead center, vertically. However, I don't think there would be any "right" place to crop that sky - so leave it as is.

Very nice, congratulations!

It's a lovely sillouete and the timing of the sunset is perfect. As Bob mentioned, the horizon could have been positioned a little differently. I would also add that positioning the sun the the right hand third of the shot (thus including more of the bay) would have made it even more pleasing.

Only real problem is the slight tilt to the left. Take care of that and you've got a very nice one.

So far as I can tell (unless it has been changed since you wrote your comment) he has uploaded the image to POTN and it displays from there, which is about as ideal as you could want. That's the way most images are hosted on CritiqueCorner. The other ways are to just display a link on which you have to click, and the other way is to post it on another server and put the link in using the "Insert Image" Tool in the toolbar.

I love the detail in the clouds, and the colors are brilliant. Great shot!

Very nice. I really love the colors. Can't tell if I like the person there or not. But it's a great capture.

Nice composition and picture! Its a good sunset photo, most of mine are mostly overexposed. Still need to practice that silhouette effect too. Good job again! :D

The best compliment I can give you is that I wish I had taken that shot.

I don't know why everyone ignored this beautiful shot either? I love the warm colours in the sky and feeling of peace this picture imparts. You can almost hear the small waves rolling onto the beach.

As for the technical aspects...Bob's right, the horizon is centred. Funny, because you followed the "rule of thirds" for the lateral position of the sun and the person. Perhaps just crop a little of the dark space at the bottom? Just a little mind you.

Composition is spot on.

Colors? Well I know you've ramped up the saturation, and the image has a surreal aspect, but I like the saturated colours. Might be a bit boring with the "normal" colors. Could we see the original photo please??

Thanks for the shot...I feel more relaxed now!:D
