I have 2 YN 560 Mark IVs. So far no QC problems with them, unless you count the Engrish in the users manual. Can someone please explain this feature and why a photographer would use it over the other modes? Thanks.

oldvultureface Goldmember More info | Feb 28, 2015 17:00 | #2 Multi is a stroboscopic effect. You set the number of flashes and the frequency, i.e., 10 flashes at 5 Hz. Leaving your shutter open for two seconds with a moving subject in the frame would give you an interesting effect.

Interesting. I don't know what stroboscopic effect is and flash power expressed in terms of Hz is new to me also. I understand the progression of stops but Hz is new.

oldvultureface Goldmember More info Post edited over 8 years ago by oldvultureface. (2 edits in all) | Hz is cycles per second. The above example would make the 560 flash 10 times in two seconds, five times in one second (5 Hz) for two seconds for a total of ten flashes at the manual power you set.
