The MW is a straight line, but we are viewing it most often when it is not directly above. So it appears as an arc, this is a very wide field of view..

When it is directly overhead it looks more like this.

Beautiful images. Hard to make a decision on which I like best but I think maybe #2. Sky views are spectacular. We never see the Milky Way in such detail here
