I want it so badly, i crave it and have been for the past two years.
Why havent i bought it yet you may ask? Well.. the second it's in the basket... my conscious kicks in.
At first, two years back, it was the cheap side of me that said no, i could afford it but i felt that i wanted to buy L lenses for my Canon's.
At the same time i thought i should sell it all and grab an X-Pro1.
But the last year or so it's not about being cheap, it's about the technology.. i know that i'm paying $1000 for a camera that is considered outdated when compared to new tech.
I don't care about all that really, but it still nags me, that much money for old technology lightyears behind....
It's in the basket now, i could just press buy and it's off in a truck, heading for my house.
But i can't do it... why not? Well this time around it's because there are no deals with the X-Pro1 body + 35mm, just the 18mm. I don't want the 18mm because i got the X100S with wcl and tcl. I don't care much for 28mm since i think it's a bit to wide for my taste. I love 35, 50 and 85.
I could buy just the body and look for a used 35, it will still be a lot of money.
Another reason is that i gave up ilc because of the changing and lugging around, if i had to pick just one focal range it would probably be 35mm...or 50mm.
The 27mm is expensive and i already got it on the X100S, but sure, i got the 50mm TCL you might say...yeah, but not with f/1.4 for those lovely bokehs.
Argh, decisions!
The #1 reason i want it, is because it's this century's classic. The X-Pro1 will go down in history as one of the coolest, most groundbreaking cameras of the 21st century. History books will have pages about it. I know it.. and i want to be a part of it.
And boy does it look sexy, almost sexier than my X100S.
There is one deal that i know that i will grab without any hesitation, and i hope it will come when X-pro 2 is announced or close to releasedate, and that would be something like X-Pro1 body + xf35 for $800 BUY SEND THANK YOU!!
Anyway...did any of you had a hard time deciding when you bought it?
