That looks like the federal refuge up there in the Sand Pointe / Bonner's Ferry area. . I got to spend a day there last year - neat place!

Hello Tom. Yes, this is the Kootenai Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. It's one of the few places you can get to in early spring.:-)

In these, the "background" isn't very far away. It's downward, and the blur is caused by water and reflections.
