We had a little snow here today -- took the opportunity to grab the camera and take a little walk. Happened upon this fellow -- I think he was watching the same small birds that I was. He/She was very patient and posed nicely. Beautiful Cooper's Hawk.

It did indeed pose nicely for you JJ, and you capitalized in a big way!
Gorgeous raptor caught with some very nice, even lighting. Always interesting to see what the snow brings out isn't it.

Thanks, everyone. It certainly helps when they sit tight and don't fly off -- first time I've experienced that with a hawk. He was within 40 - 50 ft when I first saw him. And then to get lucky with the sun on the right side ... Sometimes you just get lucky.
