Ona bags, why just a 1-year warranty?

I have noticed that comparable Billingham bags have a 5 year warranty and Lowepro's have a lifetime warranty. The Ona bags are apparently well made and well reviewed, and expensive, so why the short warranty, on both leather and canvas bags?

What's been your experience with these bags?
