Hi,

does anyone put the new Canon EF-S 24mm 2.8 STM for APS-C Systems on a Canon 5D/ II/ III or 6D?

Does it work with a black Frame? Witch can reduce with Lightroom?

Hi,
Do they even physically fit on the camera? I know EF lenses work on both FF and crops but I didn't think EF-s lenses fit on FF bodies unless they were non-Canon.

Putting an EF-s lens on a full frame camera may damage your camera. Don't even try it. If you are interested in this lens for FF, go with the EF 40 Pancake. Almost the same reach and designed for your FF camera. Right now Amazon has them both for the same price.

I have put my EF-S 24mm STM on my 5D3. You have to pop out the plastic baffle on the rear to make it fit. There is lots of vignetting and the mirror will hit at infinity focus.

Here is a thread I made about it: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=17314567

Here is a sample photo at f/2.8

Heya,

In the 24 STM thread, there's a guy who modified the 24 STM to work on full frame. You pull out the flange in the back and it will mount and work. You just have to crop the obvious vignetting. Search that thread up, it has pics and examples.

Very best,

I guess I didn't realize it was possible to make this work with FF. Guessing it is still easier to buy the 40mm instead.... :-D:-D:-D
