Hi Terry,

Yep finally getting some sunshine. I was in NE OK (Tulsa) stuck at the cesspool called Boselman's on I44/US 412, when the ice and snow came through. I'm a truck driver and one that will not try and drive on that stuff. I couldn't bare having someone slide into me or I loose control and slide into someone else.

Anyway some great attempts, however it looks to me that you missed focus. The first one it seems that your camera focused on the branch in front of the purple finch. Checking your photobucket page it shows you used an XSI camera with a "300mm" lens. Could it be that your lens and camera are not matched, ie; back or front focus issues"

It does feel like that this time of year, but I see you do not have the snow to go along with the cloudy days

I agree with you Frozenframe. I had to use manual focus on the finch due to intervening branches. My eyes aren't very good anymore, I'm waiting on cataract surgery. And sometimes I don't get the focus I want even in AF. I delete many more pictures than I keep, but I figger that's true for most of us.
Pond, we haven't had a decent snow down here in several years. An inch or so that lasts a day at the most. Just old dark dreary damp days that I call suicide weather. I don't know how folks survive in places like Seattle where you see the sun twice a year.
