Thanks, first time out with this combo, super impressed so far, far better than the old 7d and 100-400 Canon 5D IV, 7D II Gripped, 16-35 f/2.8L II, 24-70 f/2.8L II, 70-200 f/2.8L II, 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS II, 24-105 f/4L, MP-E65 f/2.8 1-5x, 100 f/2.8 Macro

We have nearly identical equipment. I have the MkI and the new 100-400. The reach is fantastic, but looking at your photos is causing some twitchiness in my wallet. Would be nice to have a MkII before airshow season starts! The 5DIII is nice with the new zoom, also, but the 1.6 factor makes the 7D a great tool. Again, beautiful pics.

I had that same dilemma part-ex'd my mk1 to get the mk2 the improvement in quality is well worth it. The image of the Osprey was taken from about 500m with some heavy cropping Canon 5D IV, 7D II Gripped, 16-35 f/2.8L II, 24-70 f/2.8L II, 70-200 f/2.8L II, 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS II, 24-105 f/4L, MP-E65 f/2.8 1-5x, 100 f/2.8 Macro
