We're reaching almost a year now living on Maryland's Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake, and with every new exploration of the area we become more and more enamored. At the northern end of the bay, just north of the Bay Bridge, is this wonderful refuge for resident and migratory birds. This chap knows how to show off his bad self by finding a gnarly dead tree to perch upon. His pal or mate was perched nearby, but not in the most favorable light.
These Tundra Swans napped nearby and apparently weren't too impressed.
