Given you have a still camera and a video camcorder, when do you think you'll use either one ?.

Nikon/Fuji.
Gear is important but skills are very important :)

Simple. When I want to make movies I'll take the movie camera, when I want pictures I'll take the camera for that job. Why would I do anything else. It's not like I haven't been doing both Photography and Cinematography since the mid 1970's. Although shooting Std 8 at 9fps so that I got three minutes out of a 50' roll on Kodachrome 25 stock without coupled sound was quite a bit different quality wise to shooting digital 1080p at 60fps. Shooting cine soon taught you to keep your shots short. I even laid down sound tracks using a audio compact cassette stereo Hi Fi deck, it had slider volume controls that also worked on the input channels, so I could at least mix two channels. That was after chopping all the film together, I was quite proficient with the splicing machine. I was also into photography using my Dad's sixties vintage Praktica Nova b. Although 270mm was really short for airshows, as I only had a 135mm (a Helios the first lens I ever bought) and 2× converter along with the 50mm f/2.8 standard lens. I would take which ever camera suited my current interests.
