Here is a few with my new 60mm f/2.4

Wha...???
Was that on purpose? Or your 60 macro prefers to focus infinity?

(BTW, bent toe, I've been a fan of your work for a while - keep it up and I'm happy you're with Fuji!) I had an X-T1, and it took beautiful photographs, but I didn't meld with it. I prefer the chunky and sexy styling of the X-Pro1, it's solid build, it's OVF/EVF combo and generally its "rangefinder style" layout. Maybe it's my big nose smashing into the LCD with the X-T1 that got me fed up with it. I'm still thinking that the X-Pro2 will be my ultimate camera. Anyway, here are a couple of recent shots using the 35mm. I also have an X100T that I'm in love with and shoot with a lot. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() https://flic.kr/p/rGAE2p Thank you, appreciate it a lot. "High life on low budget"

I avoid OVF for subject closer than 5-8 feet. The green predictive focus points seem to like greater distances.

On the contrary, it seems to have more problems locking on subjects further away, i've taken photos of both my son and the dog from a distance and it's more likely to miss the focus than if they are closer. To solve this i either have to shot at f/5.6 or higher or move the subject much closer in the frame.. or use the EVF all the time. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/rqjD9g "High life on low budget"

Then I have a different focusing character on mine. I had front/back mis-focus the last time I tried on children standing in a diagonal row away from me. I could not get the eye in focus. I was about 3 feet away from the subject.

I think you will be a lot happier with 56. For macro work just pick up a low price old legacy lens with an adapter - since manual focus is preferred for macro anyway.... just my 2 cents

I wanted a wider angle that was still light weight. Heading out hiking tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to checking out how it performs on the X-Pro1. 6D | 28 2.8 IS | 35L | 50 1.8 STM | 135L

Hi both, have you compared the 60mm to the 56mm ? I was thinking of getting a longer lens for mine as I only have a 18/35 combo. I'm not bothered about cost, just the best lens for that focal length. I shoot my 35 at F2 to F2.8 and would probably do the same with the longer lens too. How much quicker is the 56mm to focus that the 60mm, and what about accuracy ? Ian
