I shot it as in camera HDR, which didn't come out as I wanted, so I took the 3 source raw files and combined those in Photoshop.

Agreed if the in camera was the HDR that you needed, you would be sitting there scratching your head. The photoshop version is a lot nicer!
I havent used PS for HDR only Photomatix
