Color opinions please

Hi folks,
Been a while since I've posted, but sure enjoy looking at everyone's work when I can.
I've been asked to make posters to commemorate some sport work accomplishments, and now have to decide between these two.
I'd love to hear which you guys prefer, sepia tones or greyscale. Thanks.

I like the sepia one better. Can't really explain why though.

Looking at it again, i think it's because the text stands out more in the sepia version. Itkinda blends in with the back ground in the greyscale version

I like the second one....
