Lower Antelope Canyon

Stop #3 on our Canyons and Cool Places trip was Lower Antelope Canyon - quite possibly the most photographed slot canyon in the world. I felt it was important to do my part to document it as well

My photo companion on the trip was insistent that we go - I had seen some shots, but was ho hum about it. Once I was inside the canyon, it was amazing.

Thanks! The sky needed a bit of "help" but it was pretty cool overall.

This place has been shot a billion times, but I always enjoy the shots with the blue sky in the frame. Gives some contrast to the usual red tones. Good work!

It was tough - we only had about 5 minutes of blue sky during the 2 hour tour. I like them too! Hard to get the exposure right for them, though.

Well done! I like #2 the best. Did you catch the light beam coming through that hole? I know it comes through in mid-April as I caught it a few years ago. Quite a sight to see.

We were happy that it wasn't heavy overcast and snowing Apparently the time of the year was wrong to be able to catch the light beam. I was thrilled to get all the cool colours and shapes though.

Great shots DragonSpeed. It was a real pleasure to look at them.

The funny thing about #4 was that I had figured I'd lost the wall in the shadows. With a bit of work in LR, I managed to bring it up nicely, resulting in the cool final product. I'm glad you like it!
