I'm looking at the rstrap, and its only attached at the tripod mount.
I'm having trouble figuring how it won't unmount it self.

Nathan Can you repeat the question, please? More info | Mar 13, 2015 14:19 | #2 Once screwed in tight, the rubber washer will grip between the brad and the camera body. If the camera chooses to spin, the caribiner itself will rotate near where it is attached to the nylon strap, so the brad itself does not unscrew itself. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Voaky999 Goldmember More info | Have used Blackrapid for years, single harness, double harness, never a failure yet, except the strap will wear and fray eventually but after a ton of mileage. Don

Mar 13, 2015 19:28 | #6 it's a poor design, that's why they've started to make safety catches. I'm guessing a lot of BR users constantly check connections to avoid disaster. I do see those guys constantly fiddle with the strap, whether it's to check connection or to prevent it from swinging all over the place. Wow, thanks, I had no idea, I will get rid of mine immediately. Don

Nathan Can you repeat the question, please? More info | It's actually good design to incorporate a fail safe. Regardless of how careful someone might be, human error and accidents can occur. So you build in a fail safe... that's not to say it's a bad design. Albeit, I've never had an issue with my straps. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

mystik610 Cream of the Crop More info | Mar 13, 2015 21:16 | #9 My beef with these straps isn't that there's risk of the camera falling off...it's that when they hang so low, they have a tendency to swing around and bump into things. focalpointsphoto.com

Nathan Can you repeat the question, please? More info | I'm 5 7 and they don't hang low for me. However, the straps' length adjustments don't stay put over time. I have safety pins keeping them in place. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Nathan Can you repeat the question, please? More info | I've had the Sport, Sport Slim and Yeti. All the same issue with strap relengthening over time. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.
