This was taken in south Mississippi. I looked in a couple of field guides but didn't see it, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Looks like a very new fledgling-American Robin maybe?

It's a newly fledged thrush of some sort. Doesn't look like fledged robin's from Ohio.

It's a Pipit. It's a bit difficult to tell without seeing the legs but one key identification point is, American Pipits have dark legs were as Sprague's Pipits have light colored legs.

It was by itself not in a group like the Robins usually are if that helps.
Here is another picture the legs look light in color not easy to see in the grass.
Thanks for the help

After checking the link and suggestions I think it may be a Sprague,s Pipit. It was not bobbing or waging its tail like the American Pipit.

Thanks

Lovely shots. Not in my geographic area but I was going suggest a pipit of some sort was more likely than a thrush.

Ahh... That makes more sense. I was thinking this was taken in a swamp so pipit didn't even pop in my head. LOL
