Does anyone know if a lens correction profile will be available for the Tamron SP 15-30mm f/2.8 Di VC USD anytime soon? In LR6 perhaps?
I tried shooting some real estate with the Nikon F-mount version of the lens but there was still some obvious barrel distortion which I'm unable to correct for using distortion transform. Anytime you put in a distortion transform value it will bend all the other lines in the image so that is no bueno.
Do I have to wait it out or am I going about it the wrong way?

I'd reckon it'll be out soon. Lightroom does a pretty good job staying up-to-date with new lenses. Make sure to do the auto-updates!

Id try a preset of a Canon 16-35mm as it is very similar in FL.

Had good success going with this technique...

Not a bad idea. I tried using the Canon 16-35 f/2.8L II lens profile but there are still significant curvatures present, especially with edges at closer focus distances.

Canon has just released Camera Raw 8.8 today (3/19) which includes a lens correction profile for the Tamron 15-30 2.8 VC, but the update hasn't reached Lightroom yet. That's slightly irritating. I manually copied the .lcp to the \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0 folder so it's usable in LR. It works though, no more bent lines @15mm. Hurray.
