Anyone with experience of Vanguard BBH-300 Tripod Ball Head or other Vanguard ball heads ?

Vanguard makes a very good ball head. Great value for the price. I have a SBH-250 which is smooth and rock solid. I purchased a BBH-100 QR platform from vanguard for $25 and replaced the existing platform which was not arca-swiss compatible. If you can find a good buy on a SBH model you can make it arca-swiss compatible at a reasonable price.

I've got a bbh100 on my velbon get and its great. I haven't had it too long, but it's very well made and is very smooth. The self centering notch is good too.
