I've been to the infamous "Rabbit Island" near Hiroshima; I've travelled to the "Cat Island" near Sendai, and yesterday, I had the chance to travel to rural Miyagi to visit a small fox sanctuary called "Kitsune no Mura" (lit. Fox Village).

It is about 50 minutes from Sendai city (near where the tsunami hit), in a very rural area of northern Japan. I LOVED it. I could never have imagined I'd be able to get this close to many foxes. Sure, they were cautious around people, but they were used to visitors, so they'd often come up to me and try to bite my shoes.

I'll definitely go again when the weather gets warmer!

All were shot with the Sony a7 and the Samyang 135mm f/2 and FE 24-70.

Amazing fine detail in all your captures Daniel.
Such an amazing place, and they all look quite relaxed.

I love it, especially when using MF lenses like the Samyang 135 I used for these shots.

And it's perfect for travel

I second "Hillbillygirl" comment about how detailed the pictures are. It's the first thing that caught my eye. Nice captures.
