New release.
they look to be nicely made and with the current rebate, a set goes for $79.
I see lots of other similar items avail. most are significantly cheaper. other than the brand name. any reason to think these will justify the price?

anyone actually use a set? I rarely use hiking poles but I could see the utility in having a dual purpose one like this.

Interesting concept that we've seen done before. Price is good enough. Thing is that my benro travel angel is small enough and light enough that I'd only consider something like this if I was doing a major hike. Lightning would have to be really poor as well. Not sure I'd get much if any use out of it.

I use hiking poles all the time and have a decent set of carbon fiber ones. I can't imagine attaching a DSLR to one and using it like a monopod however. I could see this being useful to someone who doesn't need/rely/want to use hiking poles all the time, but I'm personally pretty skeptical about this product.

It looks like they released a line of backpacks too with photography in mind.

I'm a little curious, but I've worked out a pretty good system for hiking and backpacking and really, for me, it is about how much weight I can carry and how comfortable it is. I'm not sure they are going to be able to compete with dedicated hiking/backpacking packs.

As this stuff is out longer, I'd be curious to see what reviews are like.

I used to use tracking poles. As my pack weight decreased the poles got left behind. If you use trekking poles and need a monopod for a camera then it could be worth the money. There are other options out there so the quality of theses will determine of they are worth the money

That tripod has me interested though.
