Hi,
Was not sure where to put this. The old site when someone pm me, it would notify me through email. With this new site, I no longer have that and can't figure out how to get them. It's helpful when selling stuff.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I don't think that feature has been enabled yet.

There are many who find that feature helpful. In fact, there have been a few times when I have just not noticed that the "PM" icon at the top of the screen is red - for days! So here I've had PM here on POTN and not even known it, just because the only way I would know is to notice that little tiny red box. I feel bad because I don't reply to the sender for so long.

The email notification is something that Pekka is working on, and I'm sure it will work GREAT once he gets that implemented.

Another thing that might be helpful is that when you open POTN in a browser window, if you have new, unread PM, there could be a little box that appears (a pop-up) that says, "You have a new PM"........that would give us something we would be much more likely to notice than the tiny little red PM box. I think the old site had something like that, and it was really helpful (to me).

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

The return of that useful notification feature will certainly be welcome, but apart from that I have to say that the more I use the new AMASS the more I appreciate its user friendliness and the many viewing choices available. A really GREAT job, Pekka, and much appreciated by one who joined POTN a month or so after you first put up the site back in 2001!:-)
