Hi Guys,

I couldnt find any infos on this and was wondering it many times. How can i post an image to a thread when the image is in my gallery? I dont want to post the same image few times, refill exif etc, also saves some server space ;)

Would nice if someone could tell me if, and if yes how it is possible.

Thanks

Ohh thats good! I found it strange that nobody else was asking that as i would think this is a great feature.

Btw, i never had the opportunity to tell you this but thanks for building this great forum! I am a software developer myself and know how much work it is to develop and maintain something like this. Also if you want, i am willing to help. I have good experiences with HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and Java. Particularly mobile UI and responsive design as my backround as a designer has not faded away too much.

Best,
David

As embedded image....

That will be interesting. I have never embedded an image (or anything else, for that matter)....it will be interesting to learn how to embed!

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

embedding just means that the image is handled and served up by the same server that hosts the web page. when you upload an image, you also embed it edit: actually that's a pretty poor definition of the term, but that's what is being referred to here. It's basically the opposite of hot linking. flickr images and youtube videos are embedded here too, but this server uses the appropriate API to embed and serve them properly.

all images we upload to the server are embedded, we just need a way to "re-embed" them into a new post. I'm glad to see that this is high on the list, being able to browse old images and reattach them was a great feature with the VBulletin software.

Pekka, it would be awesome to be able to click a button while posting and pull up thumbnails of all our gallery images. Hope something like that is what you had in mind. Although, i also wouldn't mind not having to add every image to my gallery. Some things i upload are not exactly gallery pics, more like how-to images or screenshots of Ps adjustments I make for people to show them what i'm doing.
