UK eclipse images from the south east

Loads of cloud here this morning, and the only sun (just about) appeared at the peak of the eclipse. A fair bit of tweaking in post required to get anything out of the gloom, so not the greatest shots, but at least I saw something...

Used the 7D for "reach", with a 70-200II + 2x TC. Makes me remember how much worse the RAWs are from the 7D vs the 5D3!

Your lucky for the cloud cover . First three not bad . Did you use a filter of any kind ?

Yes; the clouds ;-)a

Seriously - when checking by eye I was using some welding glass. I couldn't find my "proper" glasses from 1999!

It was so grey here that I was mostly shooting sections of cloud, but I'd checked that a short exposure would allow me to pull something from the image. I wasn't looking at it through the viewfinder without protection though; even though there was little to see.
