reasonable happy, strictly speaking i don't normally take picture with my lens pointing skyward.....down in the undergrowth is where you will find my main subject matter. as a rusult i have no filters so had to use settings 1/4000, f22 and taken with my 55-250mm EFS at 131mm
thanks for looking.

If you had not mentioned it as the solar eclipse it would have made people think it was a new moon shot . Your luck you did not fry your sensor tho not using a filter of some sort . I don't know how you focused but loosing your eyesight also without protection is not worth getting any picture at all .

Oh both shots are nice since you adjusted down to f/22 . But just saying with an eclipse looking at the sun without protection is very dangerous .

yeah, i found that as there was a little cloud cover the intensity of the sun wasn't as bright and also i know that wearing my dark ray bans and partially closing my eyelids acted as a complimentary filter....eyesight is as should be. thanks for your concern and comments.
