Looking to Buy a Nikon 105mm macro lens

Hi I live in Canada so hoping to stay in candian dollar amount with the exchange right now but I am hoping to purchase a used 105mm Macro lens that is in excellent condition.

A dime a dozen on Ebay. One of the best buys out there. No doubt there are copies available in Canada to beat the shipping and import taxes.

the new VR isn't so much a dime a dozen. There's plenty on ebay but they aren't cheap. It is a well regarded lens, I'd expect it to be the best macro lens in that focal length range. If you get one you won't regret it (except maybe the wallet)

Ive had the nikon vr macro and the sigma OS macro... Optically no difference at all, performance no difference at all the Nikon feels more solid though. If i was buying one again Id have the Nikon, but if I was on a budget, I wouldn't hesitate to get the sigma again... might be another option to you.
