Hooded skunk are only found in the SW U.S.
Im pretty sure this is one since it fits the descriptions and size.

I got with about 6-8ft of this one. A few times it looked a bit threatened but calmed down when I moved back a foot.

Very nice! Number 3 and 4 look a little blue to me, others look good.

Thanks Paul.

I shifted the WB a bit warmer. I think it helped.
The problem is that the log was in the shade and the skunk was in the sun. I dont want to yellow the white areas of the skunk by warming the log up enough.

1st world problems.:-)

Nicely captured on all Jeremy. Very relaxed and natural look to these.
Pretty good of you to put yourself in the "line of fire" for these. Thanks for sharing.

That's funny Jeff because I'm not really scared of them at all. Ha.
I'm hoping to find a spotted skunk. They do a handstand when they are threatened.
I'd love to get pics and video of that.

Something about these shots stinks :-P

Seriously, you're a braver man than I to get that close to one of these; nice captures!

Very nice shots, they're all good, but 1 and 3 are particularly sweet.
