Opinions & advice wanted on both locations.

Maroon Bells - I know that parking lot near is closed to private vehicles in summer and you need to take a shuttle bus from Aspen. Does the bus travel early enough for sunrise? What options if any are available in the area for sunset?

Dallas Divide - Easily accessible but not like in Fall Colors, is it worth checking out for sunrise / sunset in July?

In the morning before the shuttle starts running you can drive up to the Maroon Bells. You probably won't see the mobs of photographers in July that you'd see in September. I think the Dallas Divide is ok in July. Green aspen trees instead of yellow, but you can probably find some wildflowers instead.

Thanks for the info. Sunrise in mid July is close to 6am and that's plenty of time for sunrise & some daylight shooting and for me to leave before 9am.
