But I am addicted to full frame quality ...

BTW, returend form my shop tested Tamron 28-300 PZD against my 24-105 + 100-400. Strangely Tamron holds very well in 50-100-200-300 mm range, but on 28 mm it is simply BS, and wide is most used FL in journeys. So decided to stat with current setup.

Thanks for noting.

sx50

Exactly. Hooking up a cheap lens to a nice, modern FF body will yield the same quality as something like the SX50. I would have one but bought a S100 instead because I really wanted something pocketable. Bought my mom an SX something years ago, they are nice little cameras.

Full Frame Quality and Cheap Super Zoom do not belong together in the same statement.

I believe that the SX50 will shoot in RAW and I know that the SX60 will. All ithe G series are able to.

sx50 also wont get close to the IQ of a 28-300L, 35-300L, or nikon 28-300G. Those lenses actually perform well.

in post 17 i was comparing the advanced point and shoot SX line to a CHEAP super zoom.

everyone has a different idea of cheap, but $2600 for the 28-300L? congrats if you see that as cheap. :p

In our country used 28-300L can be picked up for $1000 but nevertheless it is too much for such heavy and uncomfortable lens :D
