It doesn't have a Nikon warranty. Also from what I've read is that Nikon won't touch import models like Canon does.

True.
One of the reasons Nikon will never sell in USA like Canon is that stingy and obnoxious policy.
But then Nikon does not make their product for the rest of the world, purposely to break...
Usually a new product like this should last a long time. Its only USA Nikon (And not the Nikon as manufacturer) that tries to put some meaning for their over priced item tickets.
Also this seller provides One Year USA Warranty through the seller or whatever that means.
If I was in market for this camera, that "Grey Market" label would not be a dealbreaker for me, and I have done this with many of my Canons, with not only no regret, but a lot of joy. But then its only the individual buyer that should make that decision when name of game is to change your hard earned money for a product.
In any case this deal will not last long.
