Kind of an action shot...

They weren't moving too fast but this is my first attempt at an action shot. Kind of new to photography, any input on making my pic better would be appreciated!!

Not bad at all for just getting into photography. As far as the picture goes, it is a little under exposed and the horizon might be a little off.
As a rule for sports photography, you want the face/eyes, ball (if one is being used), and usually the action coming towards you. There are always exceptions to that rule but that is a good starting point. Shoot tight, crop tighter are also good rules to follow. Good luck, keep shooting and keep posting. It only gets better from here.
