Early Spring Cottontails

A couple of cottontails have been hanging around the edge of our property all winter. Every morning and evening they are stalked by a wild cat. These are some images from this morning on that rare occasion when they weren't being stalked.

I like #2 the best, good capture of the action and the eyes of both rabbits are clear. We enjoy watching the rabbits in our back yard as well, only in the last couple of days have a pair been making regular appearances since winter. I hope they continue to evade the cat! John

Thanks, John. The rabbit giving chase was hanging back in the underbrush before deciding to pursue the smaller one. I saw the pursuit coming so grabbed the camera and started shooting. Don't know whether they are male and female or this is a territorial thing.
