Have a good time , according to the family I,m going to a airshow at the weekend as well , compare pics later then ..
p.s you yanks have stolen our red arrows this season if there at your show it will be good

Haha, well I hope you enjoy your show as well!

While I won't get to see the Red Arrows next weekend at the show I mentioned previously, I will the weekend after that and am really excited. I have never seen them before and that's why I would like to have this Sigma 150-600 sorted out...although I do have the Canon 100-400 II to fall back on so I will get some good photos one way or another. I believe they are in New York this weekend, then Toronto, and on to St. Louis after that. They are supposed to visit Dayton, Ohio where I am located on the way to St. Louis, but not sure what that visit will entail (just a stopover or maybe a flypast somewhere). No mention of it in our local news even though I tried to reach out to them for more info. I don't even know if they will be at the Dayton airport (where our airshows are held) or if they will land at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Probably just be a fuel stop or something regardless along with perhaps a visit to the USAF museum here which is one of, if not the best aviation museum in the US. Guess we will find out here pretty soon.

this will most likely be my last post in this thread , as I have now sold my lens . nothing to do with the lens or nikon cameras . due to my ongoing heart problems I have to reduce the weight I carry around and will be returning to the micro four thirds system . have enjoyed my time with this contemporary lens and often found it far better than the previous sport version I owned for 3 years .
but health comes first and although being a big fella I simply cannot lug the big stuff around at nearly 74 yrs young and with a dodgy heart as well .. so farewell to all my friends on here ,I'll no doubt pop up somewhere in another thread

Can't thank you enough for all the assistance you have provided me in getting my Sigma setup. I took it to the airshow this weekend and got some great results...which is what I was expecting for this lens. Even trusted it enough to use on some of the bigger name acts. I have enjoyed looking at all your work on here and all the advice you have provided. Take care of yourself and I wish you nothing but the best!

Eric
