These were backlit in harsh light, but still happy with the results.

yes the dock connects to the lens then you use the USB cable from the dock to the PC and run the software

No. It has to be downloaded from Sigma's website (free).

yea i know..I cant get close to that sharp at 1/40 with my 70-200 at 70mm

Rained most of the day. Finally stopped this afternoon, clouds breaking up, sun coming out. So I managed to grab a couple shots of some little birds in my backyard.

Still testing my copy but so far I figure its a keeper. Been wondering if its back-focusing so have been doing some AF microadjustments at the long end because I do not see much feather detail at 400mm+ but especially @ 600mm, even when the frame is filled. Typically I've been shooting at f/7.1 at all focal lengths. Likely getting my Sigma Dock tomorrow, see if it helps any - at least I hope for the OS. A few recent pics below 600mm and 500mm
