Tried my lens out on the rugby field yesterday for the first time. Have to say, I was very impressed with focus speed and accuracy. Here are a couple of SOOC shots as examples of focus and IQ, not talent...

The first was shot with my tried and trusted 70-200 F4 IS... the second with the Sigma... I'm happy with both!

I haven't figured out how to change that, yet. Do I just edit the EXIF data on the website? It's certainly the Sigma!

Loving the activity on here... the Tamron is a worthy adversary and a Very Busy thread and as the Sigma C is equal or better, I find it interesting the Sigma thread is generally only about a 1/3rd the posting activity...

On the other hand the Sigma Sport accounts for a portion perhaps...

According to the announcement on the Sigma website (external link) there is a firmware update coming March 11th. It will require the dock, but they are indicating an increase in AF speed. Will be interested to see how this effects my lens compared to current state.

5Xrunner;17905689]nice, I wonder if it will change the Microadjust I have set for my lens in my 1D3 body. I am all for being faster and more accurate

Hope they fix when your at 600 it can't attain focus.. Many times you have to zoom back from 600 to obtain focus... Anyone else experiencing this ?

I have that problem, but I believe it is with my 7D, as it does the same thing with my 100-400. It is a refurb and has done it since day 1 but I never bothered to get it checked out.

I have not had that experience. No problems focusing at 600 mm.
