I agree with you had never seen it either maybe a characteristic of the light see it with purple mallards and yet I'm not sure if they are not green with a weird spectral thing

Maybe a spectral thing, visable only in certain light, such as the purple visible in Buffleheads...

I was going to buy the Canon 100-400 MKII but then I decided on this lens and also bought the 1DX II, haven't received neither the lens nor the camera, really anxious to start posting in this thread!!!

I got this lens last weekend, and been trying it out. Already changed a few settings on the usb dock.

So far I am loving this lens.

Been having fun with these two cute characters. A few mornings ago in the cool air they were hugging as if to keep warm and I have been going back to them from time to time.

My lens was adjusted to -9 but now -10. Seems no worse and maybe better.
