great spotted woodpecker with the canon sx 60

really impressed with the zoom on this camera,this was taken with the 1.6 converter switched on,the second pic shows the tree the woodpecker landed on ,taken at balgavies nature reserve in angus Scotland,

Wow, that is a nice zoom! Did you have to do noise reduction on the woodpecker? He is very pretty, but does seem very smooth. Are you happy with other photos from this camera?

thanks for the comments,sjc no noise reduction was applied only slight sharpening,i have had the camera for a couple of months now and it was continually putting out washed out pics to start with,the problem was worked out by a fellow webuser,the camera continually goes for a very high iso setting even in good light,once you take control of the iso the pics are fine ,here are another 2 pics of the same bird on a feeder

Nice additions. I have considered getting a small camera such as this one to take with me when I don't want to carry the larger gear.
