Hi

I tether my 5d to my mac, but when I tilt for vertical the cord falls out. I have taped it but it is awkward, is there a product out there that would help?

Thanks

Personally, I use a 90* usb and an L bracket, so there's issue with the weight of the cable. You could try a jerkstopper from tether tools. Or just gaf the cable to the camera. ;)

When I use my Canon tethered, I loop a rubber band on the chord and stretch the other end to connect either around the camera or on the ball head. Not the most sophisticated solution, but it does work.

My answer for most photography questions: "it depends...'

I've also seen a spring clip used to clamp the cord to the camera strap leaving some slack in the cord.

I use a Jerk Stopper from TT

Although a small bit of string, or the one that looks like a climbing rope, around the cable (double half hitch) and the other ends throughout the strap loop and tied off would do the same job.

Fujifilm cameras and lenses.

Anything that takes the tension off the cable/port is a great help
I do a lot of tethered work and see way too many micro USB ports breaking from people not using jerk stoppers/cable wraps, so now I've added Velcro cable wraps to all th e tether cables to be looped through the camera strap loop:-)
