I was perusing through the forums last night and stumbled upon this thread:

Down in the thread a report was made that (2) 60Ds out of 4 units had very early shutter failure because potentially of live view use. Is there any correlation to live view use and early shutter demise?

Not sure why live view would lead to early shutter death. Maybe the sensor but shutter? It's not like the sensor is heating up red hot or significantly raising the internal temperature. I would think the bigger problem would be with spray and prey shooters. That could potentially really heat up the shutter servo. Sports photog cameras should be failing left and right.
