A friend of mine just got one and I must say, pretty impressive! One begins to wonder why one schlepps all that heavy gear around...
Anybody else bought/tried one?

A friend of mine got one too and he loves it. I'm going to borrow it sometime soon. One reason for other gear—small sensor on P900. But, from what I've seen, it does incredibly well with images even with it's sensor size.

Just got the P900 last week. I am impressed with the quality. There is not a lot to photograph as far as wildlife, but I will share a couple of pic's from this camera. All of the following photos are at a 35mm equivalence of 2000mm (357mm X 5.6x), with no cropping.

A shot from my front porch tonight here in North Carolina. Focal length is 2,000mm with no cropping.
