Was shooting images of strutting Tom Turkey's and this fella went running from the brush patch I was hiding in, grabbed a couple of images as he made for safer territory.

Mike - Very handsome bird! They were plentiful when I was growing up in the Finger Lakes region of NY in the 60's, used to love hearing them call this time of year. Now it is rare to spot one, unless it is a stocked bird in the fall. John

I'm amazed at how such a colorful bird can blend into its environment so much. Nice captures.
