I've been to this location many times, but this was the first time I went to this particular, higher, vantage point - very pleased I did:

The lake is actually a reservoir, in mid Wales (UK), it's water is piped 68 miles to Liverpool. The "Straining Tower" does exactly what is sounds it should do - strains the water of debris before it reaches the water processing system: http://www.lake-vyrnwy.com/history.html
