I found a lens I want on ebay and it is an American store down in Florida called digitalgoja. It has 160000 plus feedbacks and has a 99.9 % rating. Seems like a reliable store. I am tired of waiting on B&H for my lens and I have started looking else wear. Should I keep waiting or buy one from hear? What would you do?

Buy it. You are pretty well protected on eBay.

Ebay has good buyer protection and the seller has good feedback. What lens are you buying?

I recently purchased a $2300 lens off ebay. I just checked up on the seller and feedback and such. It all worked out flawlessly. Buyers are pretty well protected too.

I ended up getting it from a camera store in Minnesota just a few hours north of me. 99.9 % rating from them as well and us warranty. I just called them and did the order that way. Family owned place for close to 80 years.

Thats one thing you shouldn't do with ebay. You give up the great buyer protection by doing the deal over the phone, should anything go wrong. Not saying it happens every time, especially not with brick & mortar stores that also sell on ebay, but it can and does happen.

buy it an get insurance on it for peace of mind. ALL your gear should be insured btw, even if it's just a measly rebel.

I picked it up from the fedx store this morning. All in good shape and works great. Took a hike with it mid day and got some nice shots even with the harsh light.
